Café

Sustainable & Simple

The joy of having a café in our shop is that we can champion the meat on our Butcher’s counter or the speciality ingredients on our shelves.

The Black Pudding on your breakfast is made in house by our Butcher, then sliced and cooked to order. The Cheese & Chive Scone you’re tucking into – it’s been whipped up that morning by our chef with traditional Cave Aged Cheddar and vivid green chives.

We’re working to be as sustainable as possible, so our Café menu changes every 6-8 weeks. Take a peek at our latest one here.

Showcasing seasonal produce, you’ll find brunch classics like Shakshuka topped with crispy Iberico Chorizo, alongside a Dry Cured Bacon Sarnie topped with artisan Brown Sauce and our full Butcher’s Breakfast.

For lunch think heritage Pork Tacos, decadent Twice Baked Cheese Soufflés and Za’atar spiced Lamb Koftas. Fancy eating with us? Get in touch to reserve your table here.

If you’re in the mood for a more relaxed affair, then our Deli Boards are perfect with a glass or two of wine. Take a seat in the window, watch the world go by and nibble on the best cheese & charcuterie from our counter.

Coffee & Cake

Our coffee is roasted by Tom over at Red Bank Coffee. His Kendal roastery produces incredible small-batch coffee with quality, traceability and sustainability at its heart.

Penny Rock, our house bean, is their Great Taste Award winning coffee from Daterra, Brazil. With great body, chocolate notes and stone-fruit sweetness, it’s best enjoyed with a fresh Pastel de Nata and a deep breath of relaxation.

Our cakes are handcrafted by local superstars The Cumbrian Baker and More? Artisan Bakery. Triple layer Red Velvet, traditional Eccles Cakes, decadent Chocolate Brownies or a Carrot Muffin topped with miniature carrot – there’s something for everyone (and always gluten and dairy-free options too)!
